Transfer window closed! Dortmund say Aubameyang going nowhere

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is set to still be a Borussia Dortmund player next season after the Bundesliga club declared the transfer window "closed".

The Bundesliga's leading scorer last season with an unprecedented 31 strikes to set a new record for a foreign-born player, Aubameyang has been linked with a move away from BVB this summer by global media.

However, following Tuesday's 3-1 win over AC Milan — a match in which Aubameyang found the net twice — Dortmund sporting director Michael Zorc closed the door on any more deals being struck.

"We see the transfer window as being closed," Zorc told media. "Time has run out!"

Mahmoud Dahoud (Borussia Mönchengladbach), Maximilian Philipp (Freiburg), Ömer Toprak (Bayer Leverkusen) and Dan-Axel Zagadou (Paris Saint-Germain) have all arrived at SIGNAL IDUNA PARK this summer while Adrian Ramos, Matthias Ginter and Sven Bender are notable departures.
